Byron Yoga Centre - Become a Yoga Teacher

It might almost sound too good to be true, but you really can study a yoga course eligible for a Student visa in Australia and we can help you with that.

The 12-month Certificate IV in Yoga Teaching at the popular Byron Yoga Centre (campuses in Byron Bay and in Melbourne) is one of the highest possible qualifications in yoga teaching that is recognised both in Australia and internationally.

Byron Yoga Centre was established in 1988 by John Ogilvie and is one of the longest running yoga schools in Australia. Byron Yoga Centre operates the Byron Yoga Retreat and the Byron Street Studio in the centre of Byron Bay Centre and the Certificate IV in Yoga Teaching training is held at. From 2018 the school will also be accepting international students in Fitzroy, Melbourne.

Byron Yoga Centre maintains a strong holistic philosophy of yoga that mirrors the essence of its birthplace. The Centre provides a wealth of experience for anyone considering yoga teacher training or simply wishing to advance their existing practice.

Purna Yoga - Making Yoga Complete

The yoga taught at Byron Yoga Centre is called Purna, meaning integrated or complete. Purna Yoga represents a holistic approach to yoga integrating not just the physical postures but also philosophy, meditation, pranayama breath control and the yogic personal and social code of ethics.

During this course, you will get to learn how to work within a yoga school framework, how to teach a general yoga class, perform a range of yoga practices and other elements necessary for a competent and confident yoga teacher.

You don't need to be a yoga expert to enrol in this course, however, an interest and a little bit of experience would help you to make the most of this program.

A life changing experience. I just completed the 8 day yoga retreat and it has truely changed my life for the better. The staff at Byron Yoga Centre are such beautiful and caring people and truely make the place what it is. I went there with little to no yoga experience and came away with so much knowledge. The facility is beautiful and so close to town. The food is incredible and will definitely be trying some of the recipes at home. Nicole, Elise and Luke made my experience so much better. Will be coming back for sure!!

An awesome place to be in every way 😊😌fantastic staff, very warm and friendly. Passionate about the yoga practice and way of life. I felt as though I belonged the minute I arrived and can't wait to visit again. I learned a lot and made improvements in my own understanding and practice. Thanks to everyone there! The gardeners, recyclers, cooks, cleaners, office staff, teachers, masseuse staff and students/resortors! 😌Thanks to you all ❤️🌺🌸🙏

A great place for a yoga retreat or a wonderful place to learn how to become a yoga teacher. You will become a safe teacher, with emphasis on contraindications for each pose or any pranayama you may learn and safe adjustments. There's also a lot of detail on the philosophy of yoga. Or if you're in Byron Bay, great to go there for just a class too! I'm grateful I was able to do over 500 hours training with BYC.

This is the best place in Australia to do your Yoga Teacher's Training. I recommend booking your course when Chris Thompson-Lang will be there to teach ॐ
